Begin your journey from Jammu with a scenic drive to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Enjoy changing landscapes as you ascend from the plains into the breathtaking valleys of Kashmir. Upon arrival in Srinagar, check into a hotel or houseboat on Dal Lake. After breakfast, head to Sonmarg, also known as the "Meadow of Gold." The journey is picturesque, flanked by mountains and river streams. On reaching Sonmarg, you can enjoy optional activities like pony rides to Thajiwas Glacier or simply relax in the lush green surroundings. Sonmarg is a great spot for nature photography and adventure lovers. Return to Srinagar by evening for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, travel to Pahalgam, a peaceful retreat on the banks of the Lidder River. En route, you may visit the saffron fields of Pampore and the ancient ruins of Awantipora. In Pahalgam, explore Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari, all known for their raw natural beauty. You can also indulge in horse riding or enjoy a riverside stroll. Depart from Pahalgam after breakfast and drive to Gulmarg, a famed hill station and ski resort. On arrival, take the thrilling Gulmarg Gondola ride up to Apharwat Peak for panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Depending on the season, you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or meadow walks. Gulmarg is equally charming in summer with blooming flowers and green landscapes. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Jammu via Srinagar. You can stop in Srinagar to shop for Kashmiri handicrafts, dry fruits, or souvenirs before heading back. The tour concludes as you arrive in Jammu by evening, carrying memories of Kashmir’s scenic splendor, cultural charm, and peaceful retreats.
